University Way-finding

UX/UI Project completed for my degree
Project Overview
This assignment was designed to help my classmates and I explore what interfaces might look like and how people might use them moving forward.

The focus was to make a Google glasses experience. Several virtual way-finding experiences exist today, but people seldom use anything different than systems like Google and Apple maps.
My Contributions
Because of my familiarity with my campus and the process of finding a new classes each semester, I focused my project on what might help a new student reduce their anxiety in this process.

The focal point of my solution was to give students a visual representation of the mental map that you gain once you are familiar with a space.
The next few slides are previews of what it would look like for a student to be able to both sense the general direction of the buildings and classrooms they are looking for, and also have the option for specific directions.

This solution offers a new interaction with way-finding technology based on cognitive processes alongside the familiar step-by-step map instructions.
